We design and manufacture entirely in Italy. Ours is an all-Italian vision: the perfect interaction between design, aesthetic taste and ergonomics, resulting in a satisfying sleeping experience.
Recyclability: imitating nature
Our wooden slatted frames can be disassembled in a few simple steps, are recyclable, reusable and, thanks to their design that goes beyond fashion, are designed to last.
Our joinery uses the most appropriate technologies, but we believe that wood must also be looked at, understood and touched: actions that are an integral part of our daily work. It is thanks to this knowledge that we produce our product lines: Zefiro, XPoint, Experience, Human, Ergo, Forest, Sana, Viva and Simplicity.
To say wood is to say nature
Our joinery has been at the forefront of the choice that led us to FSC® and PEFC Certification in 2015. A conscious decision, strongly desired to achieve a balance between our production process and the ecosystems of the forests from which all the wood we use today comes.
Because saying wood means saying nature, and we are all part of it.
Certified quality
Since 2001, Dorsal has been ISO 9001 certified. Every level in Dorsal is involved in this quality process, the ultimate aim of which is to increase the company's competitiveness in order to pursue complete customer satisfaction.
Attention to detail
It is said that the secret of a good night's sleep lies under the mattress. Certainly our slatted frames have been successfully performing their task for years. The result achieved is the fruit of carefully selected raw materials and skilful workmanship. Just look at the corners, real patented wooden joints that have become a hallmark of our wooden slatted frames, as well as their clean, harmonious design. To the point of becoming a minimalist bed, as we offer in our Simplicity collection.
Where it all began
Our machine shop was the first Dorsal production facility. This is where the first slatted frame was born, which already expressed our goal: to offer people the best possible sleeping experience.
Today as then, the goal remains the same; the production programme includes designs such as Superego, Supernova and Varial, together with the undisputed bestseller: Super, the original produced in 11 versions and with the widest range of sizes.
Sleep-friendly mattresses
Sleep is a fundamental factor in our well-being . Based on this principle, we work and apply ourselves daily to offer a product that can accommodate and adapt to the different areas of the body and is tailored to the dreams of each individual.
Our Zefiro, Grand Soleil, Elisir, Contemporanei, Fitness and Suite lines are the result of this process. We listen to a clientele that we imagine to be demanding and looking for a mattress in tune with their personal expectations; a clientele that wishes to remain faithful to our brand over time.
