A joint document to safeguard the world's forests, through which companies commit to a more sustainable supply chain and to using FSC® certified forest products.
Certification of Chain of Custody
Today Dorsal is a ‘certified link’ of the CoC, or Chain of Custody of the wood used, a guarantee of traceability and transparency along the entire process: from the forest to the end user. People are paying more and more attention to the origin of what they buy, the way it is produced and the impact these
actions generate on the environment. It is a collective awareness that guides choices, sets priorities and also involves companies in adapting products and processes. For Dorsal, respect for the environment is also synonymous with transparency towards consumers.

Dorsal is authorised to certify the entire Range of Slatted Supports coming out of its production process, as a consequence of the conscious choice to always and continuously use the same materials, without ever replacing them or combining them with raw materials of uncontrolled origin.

Dorsal pillows are dressed with revolutionary eco-sustainable packaging. Renewable, reusable, recyclable.
We have brought Dorsal pillows to life by redesigning the entire packaging to fully meet today's consumer needs with natural, responsible, plastic-free packaging. The new Dorsal pillow bags will use a new generation bio-based material made of wood fibre from sustainably managed FSC® forests, pursuing Dorsal's existing commitment to environmental protection. The new Dorsal pillow bag is strong, durable and can be reused several times for long-term use. The material chosen contains top-quality wood fibres that can be recycled along with paper and cardboard packaging. All the fibres of the revolutionary material used for the new Dorsal packaging are biodegradable to fit in with the circular economy. The closure of the pillow packaging is made of cardboard and contains a summary of the characteristics of the different models.
The new packaging is provided for the following lines: Zefiro, Therapeutic, Mousse, Elisir, Double, Energia, Vitalay and Fibra.
